Meetings

1st Meeting (2014-02-27)

Agenda:

Minute:

On the first meeting we were divided into groups and lecturer introduced us all the proposals. She also informed students how and when we have to fill electronic LogBook. After lecturer presentation we were gathering into the groups and started discussing which project we should select.

2nd Meeting (2014-03-06)

Agenda:

1.Desing

  • Can we use for the plans Altium Designer 14?
  • Do we have to design the glass/bulb/cover? If yes what kind of material can we use and what tools can we use?
  • What type of socket/mount/holder do we have to use?

2.Technology

  • What voltage/tension does it has to work?
  • How many leds should be used optimally?
  • Can we use RGB Leds?
  • Can we use Power led?
  • How many units can be divided? (e.g. if the lamp has got 12 leds can we divide it to 4 sections with 3 leds? Because if one led is burned we dont have to change all of them we only have to find the bad one of the 3 leds)
  • What power supply should we use? Transformer or switched-mode power supply (SMPS)?
  • How much should the power be for luminous intensity?
  • For changing the luminous intensity and the colours can we use a potentiometer/dimmer or we need some extra function for the controlling?
  • Do we need a remote control?
  • Is it enough to build a prototype because of the easier soldering or we have to build the eventual one in the normal size?

3.Budget

  • Are we able to build a prototype?
  • Do we have to buy materials or you can provide it for us?

Minute:

On the first meeting we got information where to start our project. At first we should do LED lightning solution paragraph and marketing research and then we should figure out our niche accourding to our research. Also we presented our questions to the supervisors and they tried to guide us. We understood that we have quite free hands with this project.

3rd Meeting (2014-03-13)

Agenda:

  • Shortly our thoughts about LED lamp: fit to universal lamp socket, changing colours, remote control, include an intelligent automatic brightness control system, reduce the energy intensity up to 10%, easy construction to change the Led
  • Do we have to creat our brand ?

Minute:

In third meeting we presented our ideas how to build our project. Supervisors gave information where to find different components to our LED Lamp. Also they proposed us some new ideas. We found out that it is necessary to creat a brand to our product.

4th Meeting (2014-03-20)

Minute:

We have to write down our requirements and describe what kind of tests we would do to make sure that our product works propertly.Also we made a material plan, but we have to give explenation about our choices. It means we have to study all possible options of materials and make a comparsion between them.

5th Meeting (2014-03-27)

Last time we presented our material list. We showed powerpoint, giving reasons why we choosed IR remote control and ultrasonic system. Also we introduced initial design for our light bulb. Lecturers asked us to think about smaller details and come up with a new design.

5th Meeting (2014-04-03)

Minute:

We got information about presentation, it should contain all the chapters, future plans and so on. Presentation should be about 15 slides long. We have to search new power supply, make the 3D version of new design and graphic logo.

6th Meeting (2014-04-10)

Minute:

We made presentation about our work and got feedback about our work.

7th Meeting (2014-04-30)

Agenda:

  • Electrical schematics ( Feedback for sent files)
  • Materials
  • Continuing writing marketing plan, ethics and sustainability part
  • Logo
  • Packaging ( Where we can do it? Does someone help us?)
  • Manuelś comment about chapter 2.5

Minute:

That meeting showed us that our schematics were still wrong and we have to improve them. Logo and brand name were good.

8th Meeting (2014-05-07)

Minute:

In this meeting came out that some things of our schematics were still wrong. Also we have to make technical drawings and bulb prototype.

9th Meeting (2014-05-14)

Agenda:

Minute:

In this meeting we found out that one thing in our schematics had to be corrected, we showed our new design of bulb. Talked aboud possibilities of producing it.

10th Meeting (2014-05-22)
