Reconfigurable LED Lamp

Project Summary

The goal is to design and prototype development of a modular LED lamp compatible with actual lamps.

The project requirements are:

  1. Reuse provided components or low cost hardware solutions
  2. Use open source and freeware software
  3. Be compliant with the Machines Directive (MD), Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive
  4. Comply with the following EU Directives:
    1. Machine Directive (2006/42/CE 2006-05-17);
    2. Electrical Safety: Low Level Voltage Directive (2006/95/CE 2006-12-12);
    3. Restriction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (2002/95/EC 2003-01-27);
  5. Mandatory adoption and use of the International System of Units (The NIST International Guide for the use of the International System of Units)
  6. Use open source technologies.
